He enjoys relaxing with his clanmates and tries not to get worked up over the small things. +Intuitive While he isn't naturally the strongest cat, he has decent instincts and often follows his gut feelings over anything else. +Loyal Despite his nasty temper and pettier qualities, his lifetime of loss has taught him to embrace what he has, and would die for the cats closest to him. +Charismatic Sunstrike can be a flirty and charming tom, and generally thinks of himself as a gentleman. negatives (at least three) -Headstrong Sunstrike isn't a cat to sit still and wait. When he wants to do something, you can usually bet he will, despite and reprecussions. -Impulsive Not only in actions, but in words. Sunstrike's nasty temper can flip a switch at any time, and his compliments can quickly turn bad. First to act but last to think, Sunstrike was never known as a patient cat. -Arrogant While it was known that his brother was the more skilled warrior, in the wake of his death Sunstrike grew into a more pushy and condescending personality. Babied as a kit and then as an apprentice, now without his brother's restraint he has since gotten a bigger head. -Possessive Sunstrike is no stranger to loss, and has grown increasingly paranoid over losing another close to him. He can be possessive over cats, mostly out of an internal fear of losing them as well. etc. =Sunstrike isn't a super skilled fighter. =He's much better at climbing and can leap from branch to branch fairly easily. =To hide his bitter grief over his first love, Sunstrike is a flirt with just about anyone. relationships please remove non-applicable family members. if not using this part, delete the entire section.(birth) mother • Grayfeather, molly, dead- Died of wounds received from rogue cats (birth) father • Coldclaw, tom, dead- Succumbed to illness sibling(s) • Tigerpelt, brother, dead- Died in a border skirmish with rogue cats history Sunkitt, Tigerkit, and Snowkit were born to Grayfeather when she was still a young warrior. The birthing wasn't abnormally hard, but Snowkit was unfortunately stillborn. Fiercely protective of her remaining tom kits, the young queen didn't let many cats visit them in their early days and doted on the toms excsessively. Their father was a noble, quiet cat, well respected in Thunderclan. Sunkit realized at an early age he wanted to be like Coldclaw, as did his brother, Tigerkit. The toms were inseparable and play fought constantly, despite Sunkit's tendancy to throw temper tantrums when he didn't 'win'. . When they were made apprentices, Sunpaw was given the beautiful she-cat warrior Brighteyes as his mentor. She was a quick and strong she-cat, and Sunpaw admired her greatly from the first moment he met her. Tigerpaw and Sunpaw trained together in the beginning, until it became apparent that Tigerpaw was excelling in his training, and Sunpaw was falling behind. Tigerpaw was a better hunter, and a stronger fighter, and as the apprentices got older, they began to drift apart due to Sunpaw's bitterness. That wasn't the only rift between them, however, as Sunpaw realized he was falling for Brighteyes. The fierce warrior was a brave opponent in battle, but so gentle with her clanmates, including Sunpaw. She encouraged him to open up and not feel bad about falling behind his brother. Instead she helped him find his own strengths, and he quickly grew into a fiery, but fine warrior. As young warriors, Tigerpelt and Sunstrike grew close again, and Tigerpelt encouraged his brother to finally confess to Brighteyes how he felt. However, before he could, rogue cats trespassed and a fight broke out on the territory. Sunstrike was sent in the backup patrol and arrived to find the Thunderclan cats losing. Sunstrike fought bravely but found himself out matched with a large tom. As the tom went in for the killing blow, Brighteyes jumped in and took the blow, saving Sunstrike's life. Sunstrike was shattered, and found himself unable to forgive himself for Brighteyes' death. He began to drift away from his brother again, until another fight with the rogues this time claimed their mother's life, and they were brought together with grief. Tigerpelt had his eyes set on leader, and told Sunstrike that he would be his deputy, though in his grief Sunstrike wasn't sure he wanted that path any longer. As the pair got older, Tigerpelt found himself closer to his goal when the brothers were given their first apprentices. Sunstrike was thrilled, and happily taught everything he knew to the outgoing Applepaw. The little she-cat reminded him of Brighteyes, and he realized he would do anything to see her become a brave and skilled warrior, even going so far as to greatly help her out on her tasks. He and Tigerpelt trained their apprentices together, and to Sunstrike's pleasure, Applepaw and Tigerpelt's apprentice, Oakpaw, were evenly matched and loved training together as well. Applepaw and Oakpaw recieved their warrior names, Appleshine and Oaktail, and the brothers returned to the easy lives of patrolling and hunting together. Tigerpelt still had his eyes on being deputy, however, leaving Sunstrike behind once more to wallow, now without an apprentice, in being alone. On a hot greenleaf day, a fight broke out on the Riverclan border, resulting in Tigerpelt's death. Sunstrike grieved harder than ever, and wasn't sure he would ever recover from his brother's death. Only moons later, his father fell ill with greencough and lost his life to the sickness, now leaving the bitter Sunstrike cold and alone. |
