Escaping Shadows is a unique warriors roleplay taking place in originally designed Clan territories where, long ago, the Dark Forest arose and destroyed the Clans from the inside. After a long recovery, the Clans generally believe that their presence has been eradicated. However, there is still some superstition and rumor of the Dark Forest looming and meddling with the Clans. This will be heavily used in our roleplay for a majority of the site wide events hosted by the staff.
A MORE IN DEPTH EXPLANATION:
If you're read the entire warriors series, or at least finished Omen of the Stars, you can think of the battle with the Dark Forest. If you haven't, we'll break it down for you.
The Dark Forest is able to rise from the dead, as "corporeal spirits," if you will. They were able to fight with the living cats, and if they were killed, they would just disappear from existence in total.
This is what happened, out of character and in the past, to our Clans. Now, our Clans believe that the Dark Forest has been permanently eradicated from becoming corporeal by StarClan and can no longer torment the Clans. However... this is not true. When the staff see fit, we will host major events that affect all Clans, even if it looks like it is only affecting one, in step-by-step, controlled methods to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
