IN ORDER TO MAKE IT BEAUTIFUL?
Escaping Shadows is a unique warriors roleplay. It takes place in an original Clan territory, where, moons ago, the Dark Forest arose and slowly destroyed the Clans from the inside. They turned claw against claw, and tore each Clan to pieces. All that remains is their descendants, struggling to rebuild the Clans from what’s left. The only question that remains now is - will they escape the shadows left behind?

RIVERCLAN vs. SHADOWCLAN― tensions high The two Clans share a border and therefore are prone to tension. Fallowheart, a ShadowClan warrior, tread over the RiverClan border in pursuit of a mouse and a fight, started by Scorchstar, broke out between the two patrols.
SHADOWCLAN vs. WINDCLAN ― neutral The two Clans share a border and therefore are prone to tension. No previous disputes. No current disputes.
WINDCLAN vs. THUNDERCLAN― neutral The two Clans share a border and therefore are prone to tension. No previous disputes. No current disputes.
THUNDERCLAN vs. RIVERCLAN ― tense The two Clans share a border and therefore are prone to tension. RiverClan recently attacked ThunderClan on the basis of two of their warriors being killed with ThunderClan scent lingering, however, this was proven to be evidence of the Dark Forest meddling with the Clans again. No current disputes.
RIVERCLAN vs. WINDCLAN ― neutral The two Clans do not share a border and are not prone to tension. No previous disputes. No current disputes.
SHADOWCLAN vs. THUNDERCLAN ― neutral The two Clans do not share a border and are not prone to tension. No previous disputes. No current disputes.

FORBIDDEN ROMANCE Growing up shamed for his identity, Scorchstar can understand the feeling of being outcasted and only able to find love elsewhere, and therefore is a little more relaxed with forbidden romances than others. He will still reprimand the offender, and generally asks that should the couple remain together, that the member of the opposite Clan joins RiverClan, and any and all kits sired must also join RiverClan.
OUTSIDERS After learning that he did not need his father's love and approval to be great, Scorchstar learned to stop caring what others think. Scorchstar is rather picky-and-choosy with allowing outsiders to join RiverClan, and often times it all boils down to his mood. Generally, he believes that the borders should be enforced and any offending trespassers must be dealt with, with words first, and then force.
MURDER IN BATTLE Known to be rather merciless, Scorchstar is not one to reprimand a warrior for fatal injury in battle. Though he will not give his praise, he does not particularly care for the protest of other Clans who may demand justice.
STARCLAN Although a believer, Scorchstar does occasionally have his doubts in StarClan. He is not a dedicated worshipper and purely sees them as the deceased, and often struggles with interpreting signs, as he doesn't see them as a force with future vision, or powers.
BORDERS & TRESPASSING Scorchstar generally asks of his warriors to question and challenge all who trespass, but has no problem with force being used, especially with ThunderClanners due to his vendetta against the enemy Clan. He does not appreciate his own warriors trespassing and expects them to do better.
INTERCLAN RELATIONS Scorchstar does not typically appeal to the idea of alliances with another Clan - they've never lasted before in the past, so why bother? He sees no reason for Clans to form alliances just to guarantee that they won't attack each other when they could just not attack each other in general - besides, he believes that RiverClan is generally safe from the interest of other Clans in terms of territory, given that most of their land is wet marsh and, land-wise, filled with more amphibious and reptilian prey as opposed to the mammals other Clans prefer.
WARRIOR CONDUCT In terms of misbehaving warriors, Scorchstar is generally able to understand one offense is misconduct. However, a warrior who repeatedly fails to perform their duties is kept heavily under secret watch by Scorchstar. He makes note of their every move and every lazy moment they spend. After gathering enough evidence, the tom will confront said warrior and reduce them back to warrior duties until they understand how to be a true warrior. Along the lines of respect - any warrior who speaks offensively of Scorchstar will be confronted, and to his face? It's not worth it. The tom will demote the warrior to apprentice duties until they can show respect. Scorchstar prides himself in orderly warriors and any who step out of line deserve to face the consequences.
OVERALL Generally, Scorchstar enforces the warrior code with a few leniencies here and there. He is a tough leader and often seen as a "RiverClan cat with a ShadowClan heart." He has a firm rule, but not an iron fist, and holds up the idea of general, unbiased fairness when it comes to intraclan politics.
LEADERS ↳ Badgerstar ♀(Badger); killed in battle ↳ Pinestar ♀(Pineberry); killed by former RiverClan leader Oakstar ↳ Stormstar ♂(Stormheart); retired, died of old age ↳ Lavenderstar ♂(Lavendernose)

FORBIDDEN ROMANCE A forbidden relationship insinuates that a Clan member's loyalties fall elsewhere, and Lavenderstar does not smile upon these occurrences. While he will find the offending warrior difficult to trust, he has a soft spot for kits, and if the mother of the litter is his warrior, he will allow her to stay. Similarly, if the mother is from a different Clan, he will allow her to seek refuge in ShadowClan, with the kits being raised as ShadowCLan members. The joining parent will have to undergo training and a close watch to be accepted as ShadowClan, though.
BORDERS & TRESPASSING Lavenderstar, just like the other Clans, expects the borders to be closely monitored and for trespassers to be dealt with. Hypocritically enough, Lavenderstar does not mind if his warriors cross into opposing Clan territories. Whether this be to chase prey that was found on ShadowClan ground, or to even snag prey that was close to the border on WindClan or RiverClan territory, Lavenderstar is horribly lax with such occurrences. He, of course, expects them to not do this if there is a high chance of being caught, but will defend them to an angry leader.
OUTSIDERS Lavenderstar tends not to be quick to even entertain the idea of outsiders joining ShadowClan. They come with too many risks, and the entire idea is too unpredictable for him to be okay with. The benefits of gaining a new warrior are generally outweighed by the overall risks and uncertainties involved. For a determined outsider, though, who shows that they truly are dedicated to the idea of joining ShadowClan, they will be permitted to join as an apprentice-rank, with extensive training and thorough monitoring. Lavenderstar tends to listen to his Clan in regards to these matters. If the majority doesn't trust an outsider, they will be removed.
INTERCLAN RELATIONS Lavenderstar is an expert at doign what is best for ShadowClan, and if that means forming an alliance with another Clan, then he will certainly take that route. ShadowClan's reputation is not high enough to make this a bad idea, and Lavenderstar doesn't care about appearing self-sufficient if the benefits are great. He would ally himself where he can to pit other Clans against each other where he can, and expects his warriors to embrace this flexibility.
STARCLAN Lavenderstar is not a die-hard follower of StarClan, instead viewing them as a source of guidance rather than a strict law. He does not like the idea of someone else telling him what to think or do, and can be a little too quick to dismiss prophecies or warnings. In regards to the Dark Forest, he is even quicker to try and dismiss them, despite the growing proof that they are lurking with growing power. He is not fond of the other Clan's accusations that ShadowClan is in cahoots with such a group, and figures not believing is the best way to dispute these claims.
OVERALL Lavenderstar is young, and has a childish mindset at times, but he is clever and strategic with ShadowClan's best interests at heart. His relationship with his Clanmates is one of his top priorities, and he often sets out to forge strong bonds with them. He is generally a lax leader, and insulting other Clans is not a problem with him, though loyalty to ShadowClan is something he takes very seriously.
FORBIDDEN ROMANCE Lionstar is possibly too lax with this. In his beliefs, everyone deserves love and everyone deserves to be with the one they love. He truly doesn’t see an issue with interclan relationships so long as they realize it’s a very real possibility that they may come face to face in battle one day. If kits result in this relationship, Lionstar would want the parents and the kits to join ThunderClan so that the family could be together. He does not particularly condone such behavior, but he will not exile someone for it either; he’d rather his warrior come to him and be blunt with what they were doing rather than hide it. The pair would have to be watched closely by a dedicated warrior picked out by Lionstar for a few moons as a “probationary period” so to speak.
BORDERS & TRESPASSING Borders are there for a reason. Though this can be hypocritical of his view of forbidden romances, he believes borders should be respected with the utmost care. It’s how fights break out and how wars are declared. If everyone were to stick to their borders, there wouldn’t be any issues. He’d like ThunderClan to remain as neutral as possible and to simply live their life in peace for as long as they’re able. To go along with this line of thinking, trespassers should be chased out and reported immediately to Lionstar. “We keep to ours; you keep to yours” is his general way of thinking. He doesn’t expect other Clans to be kind to his warriors should they trespass, and he’s not going to be kind to those who do the same.
OUTSIDERS Outsiders should generally be avoided and handled with caution. Any outsider lingering close to the border should be brought to his attention. ThunderClan should not engage unless they’re knowingly trespassing on the territory. Loners are wild cards and can act in unexpected ways. Should one of them want to join, well, that’s a very individual situation that has to be handled carefully. Lionstar isn’t against bringing others into the Clan, but it must be done in a careful, planned way.
INTERCLAN RELATIONS Peace is the main thing Lionstar is trying to achieve, if not in the whole forest then in ThunderClan alone. War is not something he’s looking for; he’s not after territory or power gain. The only reason Lionstar would ever go to war with another Clan would be under extreme circumstances. His pride can be the enemy here, too, though. Alliances are difficult, too, because then he’d be picking a ‘side.’ He wants to avoid conflict in any way he can, but if he’s got no other choice he will do what needs to be done.
STARCLAN Lionstar has a very strong relationship with StarClan and constantly looks to them for guidance. All his life he’s felt close to them, and now after receiving his nine lives it has only strengthened his bond. He trusts in them immensely and would follow their words exactly. He’s comforted knowing that the cats from his past are looking down on him and are confident that they will help him lead ThunderClan when he needs assistance.
OVERALL Lionstar mostly just wants as much peace as possible. He’d like for there to be no wars, no disputes, and no fights, but knows that there’s no way to accomplish that. As such, he tries to lead ThunderClan in a way that they at the very least could keep peace in their corner of the forest. This being said, his pride can get in the way at times, and he is not afraid of a fight if that is what must be done.
LEADERS ↳ Ebonystar ♀(Ebony); killed by badger ↳ Sheepstar ♀(Sheepnose); killed by Dark Forest warriors ↳ Cherrystar ♀(Cherrytuft); died of greencough ↳ Sandstar ♀(Sandtail)
DEPUTIES ↳ Sheepnose ♀; became leader ↳ Stonepool ♂; killed by ThunderClan warriors ↳ Cherrytuft ♀; became leader ↳ Buzzardfang ♂; killed by dogs ↳ Sandtail ♀; became leader ↳ Badgernose ♀
MEDICINE CATS ↳ Tormentilbloom ⚩; died of old age ↳ blank
MEDICINE CAT APPRENTICES: ↳ Porcupineheart♂; became sole medicine cat ↳ Current
FORBIDDEN ROMANCE Any cat caught crossing any borders will face serious punishment from Sandstar. She has a very strong allegiance to her Clan, and she expects her cats to feel similarly. Sandstar could never understand why any cat would ever find love in another Clan when all they could ever want is right in front of them. There is simply no understanding for her of how a cat would betray her Clan in such a way.
OUTSIDERS As Sandstar has an intense pride and allegiance to her Clan, it is highly unlikely that she will welcome outsiders without question. Due to her naivety, it is plausible that she could be sweet-talked and convinced to embrace outsiders but it should not be expected of her.
STARCLAN Sandstar's connection to StarClan is very strong. She relies on her Clan's ancestors for advice and her Medicine Cat for interpretation very often. Cats expressing their distance from StarClan confuse Sandstar as well. Her belief has an effect on all of her decisions as leader in some form, whether cats like it or not.
KITS & AGE Kits and apprentices are the lifeblood of the Clan, and Sandstar really takes this to heart. Any WindClan kits are strictly held to the rule of the warrior code that kits must be six moons old to become apprentices. If anything, Sandstar tends to wait a little longer than normal. She believes that they should not feel the pressure of having to grow old and become warriors, they should enjoy being young. She also makes the effort to get to know every cat in the Clan, both young and old, kit or elder. She wants them to know that they can reach out to her any time. Despite the fact that she is leader, she does not want the title to separate her from her warriors at all. They should feel comfortable coming to her with any problems.
OVERALL The sweetest leader WindClan has ever seen, really. Though she is harsh on a few of her policies, she is overall a very sweet and somewhat naive cat. She wants the best for her cats and she views any cats in her Clan as her own kits and kin. She is amiable, energetic, and optimistic, something not always seen in leaders. This can be abused or seen as a sign of weakness, but many see her as a new hope for the future of WindClan.
RiverClan Rumors Due to Scorchstar's outward appearance of being heartless and apathetic, it is perceived by the other Clans that RiverClan cats are cruel as opposed to lazy, There are also occasional suggestions that RiverClan is a monarchy or influenced by nepotism, as Scorchstar, Oakstar's son, became leader. This is disputed by the fact that Howlstar was leader in between the two's reigns.
Generally, RiverClanners are viewed as lazy, gluttonous cats.
ShadowClan Rumors Because of their territory and name, ShadowClan is believed to be the Clan that has most to do with the presence of the Dark Forest by other Clans. Whether it is that ShadowClan is made up of the Dark Forest themselves, or the high ranks are influenced by the Dark Forest and visit it each night, one way or another it is suggested that they are "in cahoots with" the Dark Forest.
Generally, ShadowClanners are viewed as heartless, cold cats.
ThunderClan Rumors The involvement of ThunderClan in other Clan's business has resulted in the Clan being labelled as nosy, with a hero-complex. Other Clans tend to reduce them down to being as "stupid as squirrels" because of how they tend to roam the trees. RiverClan and WindClan are fairly protective of their border with ThunderClan, seeing them as obnoxious warriors who don't know whose territory from whose.
Generally, ThunderClanners are viewed as nosy, selfish cats.
WindClan Rumors ShadowClan especially holds a distaste for WindClan, suggesting that they are pretentious snobs and "bad at sneaking around unfamiliar terrain," hinting that they are common trespassers. Often times called "dumb as rabbits" by other Clans, WindClan cats are known for their pride and easily hurt personalities. They themselves believe that they are the most connected to StarClan, as they are under an open sky. RiverClan tends to protest this, given that they live in similar, uncovered terrain.
Generally, WindClanners are viewed as weak, snobby cats.
