two females and a single tom. right away, her no-furs were prepared and they took great care of the little ones, regularly taking them to the vets for check-ups to ensure that they were healthy. dreamy got adjusted to the fact that her kittens would be living with her forever and couldn’t wait to raise them into the splendid cats she was sure they would become. only, other no-furs began to turn up, some only once whilst others more frequently. they would cuddle the kits and talk to them, whilst dreamy sat at a distance to watch them carefully. everything became clear to her when one picked up lucky, taking him away. she didn’t know it but dreamy would never see him again, with the others soon to follow suit. the second to leave was a small, cream and white she-kit, already named cleo due to her resemblance of her father. her new house was intriguing, with her exploring it in great detail until she eventually knew it inside and out. her new twolegs were lovely, with kits of their own who she was able to play with, from chasing lasers to jumping up at feathers they held above her head. she was content in her home and had the perfect life, or at least that was until she was suddenly put in a cage and driven away. the journey was long and tedious, scaring cleo as she hid at the back of the cage she had been put in. she wasn’t sure where she was going, all she knew was that her no-furs seemed scared and upset. when she was taken out of the cage, she got her hopes up, only to be put into another. the new no-furs around her would only give her brief attention as they fed her before they disappeared again, causing for cleo to feel rather alone. she didn’t know where her other no-furs had gone but she knew that she missed them and hoped that one day they would come back. they never did, for reasons she would never know. eventually she was rehomed, with her being wary at first of the new people before she gradually warmed up to them. she was introduced to their other cat, a grumpy she-cat who she would later get to know as roxy. despite roxy not liking her new housemate, she grudgingly learned to accept that cleo was going to be around for the foreseeable and told her all the rules that were in place. the bed belonged to her and cleo was not to disturb her when she was asleep. if she followed these rules, they would get along well and though cleo didn’t see it as being quite fair, she knew she would have to stick to them so that they could be friends. there was a tom who often lurked around their home, one of their neighbours going by the name of milo. he was arrogant and bossy, with him and roxy having some sort of dispute between them whilst he and cleo became friends. they didn’t get to spend much time together because of roxy, yet the time they did get was special and gave them a connection. the two became lovers, not caring about the boundaries of their homes and both comforted by the fact that they were loyal to one another. it made cleo rather joyous when she discovered she was carrying his kits. they were closer than ever whilst she was pregnant, to the annoyance of her housemate who couldn’t stand them being together. it was down to roxy that their relationship went downhill, with her saying he should stay away as their twolegs wouldn’t be happy. after a fight with roxy, which left them both in the vets for a short while, he called it off with cleo for her own good. she was heartbroken of course, although only briefly as she had their kits to focus on. in the end, roxy was proved right by how milo very quickly moved on from her. cleo didn’t even have time to date with her new responsibilities. she gave birth to four kits, petal, cloud, bear and fuzzy who she adored immediately. yet she had the gut feeling that the same would happen to them that had with her, with her kits being taken from her and so she treasured every moment with them whilst she could. she would sit telling them tales or telling them of the future homes they’d have, saying how they would be very happy in them, just as she had (mostly) been. even roxy bonded with them a little, having the occasional chat with them. it gutted cleo that they wouldn’t always get to be with her and with every day that went by, she knew it was growing closer. they all seemed to be rehomed within a blink of her eyes and nowadays she’s not sure if she would even recognise them. nevertheless, she truly hopes that they are okay and are living the good lives they deserve. |
