Blizzardfall basics name • Blizzardkit > Blizzardpaw > Blizzardfall age • 40 Moons gender • Tom sexuality • Heterosexual clan • ShadowClan rank • Warrior appearance allegiance • long-haired white tom with green eyes. full • Blizzardfall is a larger than average tom cat with an adequate, proportionate build. His long-haired coat makes him appear even larger than he is. He has a very well-kept pure white pelt and large bright green eyes. Blizzard fall is obsessive when it comes to keeping his coat clean. It is rare to find him dusty, dirty, or with even a single hair out of place. He despises fleas and can be slightly over dramatic when he finds that they have infiltrated his defenses - which very simply consists of near constant grooming. He quite comically treats cats with fleas as if they have the plague. personality + Loyal - If nothing else can be said about Blizzardfall, it would be that he is as loyal as any cat could ever get. Loyal, first and foremost, to his Clan and the Warrior Code; as well as loyal to his beloved sister's memory. It is her loss that drives him to do great things within and for his Clan. + Reserved - Blizzardfall, though once outgoing and care-free grew into a more reserved tom during his apprenticeship. He isn't much one for games or crazy antics. In fact, he doesn't usually participate in any activity that he doesn't seem sensible or logical. He will play with kits and sometimes even young apprentices, but that is the only time that you will ever see him behave in a less than proper manner. Though it sometimes makes him seem boring, being so reserved gives him the advantage of being more observant than most. + Honest - Blizzardfall has always been an honest cat. The thought of ever lying about anything simply never occurred to him. Not that he didn't have the talent to lie if and when needed. + Strategic - It was important to always be two steps ahead in life. That is what his father always taught him. His father trained him at a young age to be able to problem solve quickly and effectively. Blizzardfall is very thankful for his father in this regard, as the talent has helped him out quite a lot in his lifetime. + Calm - For the most part, Blizzardfall is unusually slow to anger. He remains calm, especially in any crises situation. Part of his father's training when he was young, he supposed. It was just natural for him to remain calm in the thick of things. He does have buttons that can be pressed. He will erupt when those buttons are pushed hard enough. For the most part, however, he is calm and collected. - Overbearing - Due to being so obsessed with serving his Clan the best that he can, Blizzardfall can be overbearing at times, especially with apprentices. It isn't that means to be this way, it is just that he longs for every cat to always put their best paw forward for the greater good of ShadowClan and he can get frustrated when series of small things go wrong all at one time. He simply pushes cats too hard for too long sometimes, including himself. - Distrustful [of outsiders] - Since the day that he lost his sister, Blizzardfall has always been distrustful of cats that are not of his own Clan. In his mind, if the RiverClan Medicine Cat had just tried to help Snowkit, she would still be alive today. A lifetime of distrust has evolved into unhealthy suspicion at times. He is always more willing to jump to the worst conclusions about any outsider cat. In some ways, this keeps his Clan safe, in others this suspicion and distrust could prove quite harmful if he weren't willing to trust the cats he needed to if the time ever came that the Clan needed to ban together. - Anxious [when not keeping busy] - Blizzardfall, when not busy, can get quite anxious and worrisome. His mind is constantly racing with improvements that could be made or things that could be getting done. Sitting still makes him antsy sometimes and he can get a little jumpy. He does not like the feeling of not being completely prepared for anything that may happen. - Impatient - Blizzardfall gets impatient when tasks seem to be taking too long to get done. There is so much to do, after all, and very little time to do it in. = Blizzardfall despises being dirty or unkempt and loathes fleas and ticks with a passion. He can become very dramatic if he finds any in his pelt or even around him on other cats. = He loves, loves, loves kits and can't wait until he becomes a father one day. = He is deathly afraid of heights and refuses to climb anything higher than where he can naturally leap to. Cats that do climb, enjoy it even, stress him out more than any cat could ever imagine. relationships father • Ashfang > large short-haired gray and white tom with brown eyes > Living mother • Lilybelly > petite long-haired white she-cat with orange eyes > Deceased sister • Snowkit > average short-haired white she-cat with orange eyes > Deceased half-brother • Reedwhisker > average short-haired brown tabby tom with brown eyes > Living half-brother • Nettleclaw > large short-haired ginger tabby tom with orange eyes > Living half-sister • Lilycloud > petite long-haired white she-cat with orange eyes > Living history The tale of his birth is an unfortunate one for two reasons; the fist of which was the fact that the Clan was facing the most unforgiving leaf-bare that they'd faced in years. The earth was frozen, the air was frigid. The prey was scarce if non-existent. His mother was weak when the time came to deliver him and his sister. She shivered against the cold, dreading bring her kits into this frozen, starving world. Stormfang, her mate, was curled up beside her, tail flicking back and forth against her shoulder. He was trying his best to keep her as warm as possible. Lilybelly labored for hours, barely making any noise at all save for the occasional mew of pain followed by a few short gasps of breath that were seeking any form of relief - relief that only came when she was finally able to deliver that final push that allowed her kits to finally become apart of the world around them. She clung to the vibrations of her mate's purrs just long enough to hear her kits first cries before exhaustion claimed her. It wasn't long after that, however, that the terrible leaf-bare became too much for their mother to handle and starvation and hopelessness took her peacefully in the night. Her passing left their father not only grieving for his loss but also in a panic about his kits. There were no other nursing queens in ShadowClan at the time and there was no way that Snowkit and Blizzardkit were old enough for prey yet. Desperate, he was forced to seek outside help from the other Clans. So, with the permission of their Leader at the time, he set off toward RiverClan. Luckily, they were doing better than ShadowClan and has a Queen that was still nursing her litter, though they were older than his. He went to their Leader first for permission and then to the Queen. It turned out that she was kind and more than willing to help as much as she could. Thanks to her, his kits survived the leaf-bare. At five moons old, no cat would have ever guessed the unlikeliness of their survival as newborns. They did not feel the emptiness that their mother's death would have left in an older kit's heart. They were just as strong, energetic, and happy as any kit their age would be. They loved to play together and to sneak around. Their idea of fun was to try and get away with just as much rule breaking as they could manage. They were a week away from becoming apprentices when Blizzardkit's life changed forever. "Snowkit, wait!" He called, breath coming quick as he ran after his sister away from camp. She paid him no heed and he gained no ground as she ran. She was faster than he was, always had been. Still, he ran as quickly as his legs would carry him. Eventually, he did catch up with her. When he stopped, he took a moment to catch his breath, tail flicking back and forth out of agitation. "You could have at least slowed down," he grumbled. Snowkit was staring upward, orange bright and mischievous. "Bet you I can climb this tree, all the way to that limb up there," she grinned. "You most certainly cannot!" As soon as those words came to life, however, he groaned. When would he learn? Those words were nothing but a challenge to his daring sister. "Don't you dare," but it was already too late. She'd already begun to climb. "Snowkit, that's too high! Please. Have some sense." "I'm already half way. I'll make it," she huffed, claws sunk into the loose grooves of the thin pine tree. By the time she finished even that sentence, she was climbing up onto the limb that she'd mentioned before. Blizzardkit breathed a sigh of relief and the exact moment that he exhaled, the limb snapped and his head was filled with nothing but his sister's echoing shriek of pure terror. He ran to her, screaming her name. As he reached her, a patrol of three RiverClan warriors crashed through the underbrush that separated their territories. At first, Blizzardkit stiffened in fear. After a moment of just staring at them, he called out to them. "She fell. Please, you have to help!" There was lanky cat among them, one that reminded Blizzardkit of his Clan's medicine cat. He came forward and shook his head. "There is nothing that you can do for her. You should run back to your camp and get your mother and father." "No! You have to do something. Anything! You can't just leave her here!" The cat said nothing more, however, and by the time Blizzardkit managed to blink away the haze of grief well enough to see, they were gone. His tiny heart hardened that day toward ThunderClan. He lay by his sister's side until he know longer heard her strained, gurgling breathing. When she finally left him, he yowled out as loudly as he could, feeling hollow and lonely. From that day on, he vowed to protect his family and his Clan as all costs. After that, his life was fairly uneventful. He trained well as an apprentice, grew into a large, well-built warrior and served his Clan with absolutely everything that he had in him, doing his best to honor his sister's memory in everything that he did. When he was made a Warrior, he requested that he be named Blizzardfall, so that he may never forget his sister and the lessons that he learned on that terrible day. His request was granted, though reluctantly. |
